Fashion internship vacancy

If you are a fashion student and would like to experience what it's like working for an independent alternative clothing company, there is currently an internship vacancy with Jed Phoenix of London. The internship position is unpaid but it will provide you with skills, experience and a reference that you can help you with your fashion course or job search. An internship with us is a very hands-on working experience - you will be cutting out, preparing garments and accessories for sewing, pressing, cutting loose threads, overlocking etc. You will also be shadowing Jed Phoenix, a successful niche market fashion designer, who has been running a distinct fashion brand since the early noughties. We are based in South London. More information about the role can be found by reading the fashion studio production assistant internship article.

If you would like more details about this alternative fashion internship vacancy, please contact Jed after you have read this guidelines for interns article.

What Previous fashion interns say about their internship

Andrea came over from Mexico in 2014 and did a 3 month internship. In 2018, Jed had a Skype conversation with Andrea, about her experience, and what she's doing now. (Please forgive the audio quality on the video recording - we were bouncing off international satellites!)

If you aren't a fashion student, but you still have a passion for alternative fashion, an internship is still possible. Yvette had been a fan of Jed Phoenix of London for almost a decade before she saw a post on our Facebook page about an Apprenticeship vacancy. Here's Yvette's story:

If you're doing something other than fashion and want to do work experience with us, read about what other aspects of the business there are to gain work experience in.
